The Countryside Service has three main functions.
1) We manage country parks and other designated countryside sites on a day to day basis.
2) We help Flintshire communities take control of their own conservation projects.
3) We encourage the public to enjoy Flintshire's Countryside, and increase their understanding of its wildlife, landscape and heritage value.
This involves; Organising events and activities to suit all ages and abilities, to help you to enjoy countryside and wildlife.

Include guided walks, talks with experts, wildlife watching, and family events.
Monitoring and maintaining a selection of fine waymarked walks across the countryside of Flintshire,
and a variety of beautiful landscapes and habitats. Leaflet guides are available.

Within the broad service, we also run an Environmental Education Service at Wepre Country Park.
Experienced and well trained Rangers offer a programme of educational activities for groups of primary aged children.
High quality hands-on experiences of the natural world for children, linked to National Curriculum requirements.
